Pardon my pride?
Wrestle my will?
Quiet my concerns?
Forget my fears?
Defer my doubts?
Still my spirit?
Settle my soul?
Do I?
Help my failing, Lord.

Will I?
Purpose His plan?
Seek His solace?
Love His life?
Pick up His path?
Invite His interests?
Practice His patience?
Will I?
Help my faltering, Lord.

Dare I?
Sink in my Savior?
Abide in my Abba?
Rest in my Redeemer?
Live in my Lord?
Dare I?
Help my unbelief, Lord.

He is calling me to heights higher,
To a path set straight and clear,
To a journey beyond where I could traverse myself.
He commands… Be Still and Know.
So be still, mind.

Be still, body.

Be still, heart.
Settle. Relinquish. Sink. Rest. Know.
It is He who holds me.
I am His, safe and assured,

covered and blessed,
esteemed and redeemed,

loved and changed.
Resolve.

Determine.

Dare.
